Oysterhead Announces 2020 Reunion Shows

Bonnaroo 2006 - Day 1 - Oysterhead

Oysterhead is returning in 2020 for at least two concerts at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

The supergroup, featuring The Police drummer Stewart Copeland, Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio and Primus bassist and frontman Les Claypool, last performed together in 2006.

To get pre-sale tickets for the February 14 - 15 concerts, fans must enter a request by 9 a.m. Mountain Time on Thursday in a ticket lottery. The general public on-sale begins Saturday, October 19. Fans can get more information or enter for a spot in line here.

Rumors about an Oysterhead reunion began swirling early Tuesday when fans stumbled upon an Instagram account bearing the band's moniker. The lone post on the newly established account was a video that contained the phrase, "When all else has been done and said," which is a line from the chorus of the band's song "Mr. Oysterhead" from the band's only studio album, The Grand Pecking Order (2001).

Hours after the first post appeared, Stewart and Claypool began hinting on their social media the something was brewing.

Finally the band's account announced the the pair of shows and provided a link to the pre-sale.

Whether Oysterhead is planning another studio album or more tour dates next year remains to be seen.
