Finn Wolfhard's Band Calpurnia Is Releasing Covers From Weezer And Pixies

2019 Governors Ball Festival

Calpurnia is following up last year's debut EP Scout with a special 7" record featuring covers of Weezer and Pixies songs (a fitting choice since the band starred in Weezer's video for their cover of a-ha's "Take On Me" earlier this year).

The limited-edition vinyl will be sold exclusively at Rough Trade record stores in UK and US as part of Calpurnia's label Transgressive Records' 15th anniversary celebration.

The band announced the limited-edition record via Instagram. "Exclusively at Rough Trade record shops in the UK and US you can grab a limited edition 7" vinyl featuring our covers of Say It Ain't So (@weezer) and Where Is My Mind (@pixiesofficial). Released as part of Transgressive Records (@transgressivehq) 15 year anniversary!" they wrote alongside a photo booth style snapshot.

Calpurnia's bandleader Finn Wolfhard isn't the only Stranger Things star to pursue a musical career. Joe Keery (aka Steve Harrington) recently released his debut album Twenty Twenty under the moniker Djo, and Maya Hawke (aka Season 3 newcomer Robin Buckley) shared some beautiful solo singles over the summer.

Last week, Netflix released the first teaser for Stranger Things' fourth season. Though the short clip doesn't reveal much about the plot nor the season's release date, we can't wait to see what's in store for the characters when they leave their hometown of Hawkins!
