Chris Cornell's Estate Teases Posthumous Single "When Bad Does Good"

Last week, Chris Cornell's social handles got a makeover. The profile and cover photos on the late rockstar's Facebook and Twitter pages changed to display a colorful illustration of Cornell's face, and his signature alongside the hashtag #WHENBADDOESGOOD and the date September 21st, respectively.

As Alternative Nation reported, Amazon has a Chris Cornell listing for a self-titled, four disc set with a release date of November 16, 2018. The album art happens to be the same image that's now the profile picture across his socials, and "When Bad Does Good" seems to be the first offering from that collection.

On Friday (September 14), Cornell's estate posted a short teaser video on Twitter with the same hashtag and a link to his website. The 14-second-long clip features ethereal instrumentation as red pieces come together to form hearts.

Though it is unclear when the unreleased song was recorded, the grunge rocker was working on a covers album at the time of his death and had been working on demos for a new Soundgarden album, too.

Aside from new music, a bronze statue of Cornell is being erected outside the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture and is slated to be unveiled on October 7 at 5:30 PM. It will be free to the public.
